Portes du Soleil is a massive ski area with slopes suitable for all standards.

Indicative 2004/5 costs for skiing are: A full Portes du Soleil lift 6-day pass is: adult 176Euros , child up to 5 years: 118Euros . A beginner may only need a local area pass which gives a reduction. Day passes are 36Euros and 24Euros respectively. Details of ski passes for other periods, local weather and lots more is on:

Ski hire depends on quality of ski and ranges from 10Euros to 15Euros per day but will reduce on bookings over 4 days or more.

Morzine: Not just a ski resort but a living, well established town with a long history. The town has an year round community and there is a wide choice of clubs, bars and restaurants. Local dining specialities include tartiflette, raclette and pierrade. There is a full selection of shops (and supermarkets). The local cheeses, wines, salamis and patisseries are delicious.
